Have a colour from another brand? Find the Caparol match
If your colour code is from the RAL, NCS or Sto system, type it into the search and open the colour. The “Matching colours in other catalogues” section of the colour card shows the closest shade from Caparol catalogues and the degree of match (ΔE).
If you have chosen a colour from a Pantone, Tikkurila, Jotun, Dulux, Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, Sikkens, Alpina, Filli Boya, Marshall, DYO or other brand catalogue, bring the code, a catalogue sample or a small piece of the painted surface to our store. Our advisers will help you choose the closest option among Caparol colours. Ask in store whether an exact tint is possible.
Frequently asked questions
How many colours are in this catalogue?
The page holds 9,575 colours in total from 10 catalogues: Caparol 3D System Plus, Caparol 3D System, CaparolColor, CaparolColor Compact, Caparol LackChamp, Capatect, RAL Classic, NCS and Sto.
I have a RAL or NCS code — how do I find the Caparol match?
Type the code into the search box and open the colour. The “Matching colours in other catalogues” section of the colour card shows the closest colour from each catalogue and the degree of match (ΔE). Check with our advisers in store whether an exact tint is possible.
What is LRV and why does it matter?
LRV (Light Reflectance Value) shows how much light a colour reflects: 0 is pure black, 100 is pure white. Colours with a high LRV make small, dim rooms feel larger, while low-LRV colours create depth and contrast.
Will the colour on screen differ from the real paint?
Yes, it can: screen brightness, colour profile and room lighting all change how a colour looks. So before making your final choice we recommend looking at the paper catalogue or a colour sample in store.
How do I choose the right colour?
First choose a colour family and tone (warm, cool, neutral), then find a matching second and third colour in the “Colour combinations” section. Add the colours you like to favourites with ♡ and compare them side by side.
How do I find a Caparol colour that matches my Jotun, Tikkurila or Dulux colour?
Bring the colour code, a catalogue sample or a piece of the painted surface to our store — our advisers will help you choose the closest shade among Caparol colours. For RAL, NCS and Sto codes you can also find the match yourself on this page.
Can I choose a wall paint by Pantone code?
Pantone is mainly a standard for print, textiles and design. Choose the closest Caparol shade for wall and facade paint with our advisers in store; the colour on screen may differ from the real paint.
